The short version: NAINO runs on your computer. Your videos, projects and pictures stay there. We keep your email and your plan so we can let you in, and nothing else about what you do in the app. It has no ads or usage tracking.

The NAINO app

• Your files. Videos, projects, thumbnails, captions and settings are stored only on your computer. They are never sent to us.
• Speech and captions. Speech detection, captions, moment finding and the background remover all run on your computer.
• Logs. The app keeps a small log file on your computer to help track down problems. It stays there unless you choose to send it to us.

Your account

To use NAINO you sign in with your email. We use a service called Resend to email your sign-in code. We store your email, your plan, when it ends, any promo code you used, and a random ID for each computer you've signed in on. We use this only to run your account and to contact you about it. The app checks your plan with our service from time to time, and that check sends only your sign-in. Our service is hosted by Cloudflare.

When the app goes online

• Model downloads. The first time you use captions or the background remover, the app downloads the model file it needs from Hugging Face or GitHub. Those services see an ordinary download request, including your IP address.
• Twitch, if you sign in. Signing in is optional. The app then talks directly to Twitch to fetch your channel name, past broadcasts, viewer clips and follower count. It asks for no special permissions and can't change anything on your channel. Your sign-in is stored encrypted on your computer (Windows data protection, or the Mac's Keychain), and your channel data is stored only on your computer. Signing out removes the sign-in. Twitch's own privacy policy covers what Twitch does.

This website

This site uses no cookies, analytics or trackers. The company that hosts it may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, for a short time to keep the site running.

When you buy

Your payment is handled by our payment provider, which acts as the seller of record. They collect your name, email, billing address and payment details, and handle tax. We receive your name, email and order details so we can activate your plan and provide support. We never see your full card number. Their privacy policy applies to what they collect.

When you contact us

If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you. We won't add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

Your choices

You can delete your work at any time by deleting it in the app. To see or delete your account and the purchase and support information we hold about you, email [support email]. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We'll honor them. We don't sell your personal information.

Children

NAINO isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
